Question...
How much do you normally spend on a weeks worth of groceries?
I am curious as to how much other families spend on groceries....ya know, since I am spending more than necessary! Hating Scott today, spread the word. lol
By the way.....I heard more than I cared to about those damn canned veggies on sale and so when dinner was over, I headed to the store and got a mess load of em. These bitches are gonna be eating canned veggies at every freakin meal! (I can't wait for Scott to hear the bitch'N from the girls....they are frozen/fresh only veggie eaters, but Scott does not believe it. mmmmhhmm*whatevah)

my bill runs between 160 to 200 for about 8-10 days worth of groceries. But it depends on what I need to replenish.. I hate those shopping trips.. (sigh) Because it's always more than I expect. Tell Scott that buying food that no one eats is a huge waste of money. :)
hmmmm hard to say cause it varys but we went grocery shopping other day after not having went for 3 weeks and spent $320. except to get bread or milk we probobly wont go for another 2 weeks. hugs
well, put it this way...today I went for "staples"....I spent $30.00 and didn't get sh*t. Bread, lunchmeat, peanut butter, hamburger, chips, 2-2 liters and I believe that was it. That will be gone by tomorrow. I don't go by the week...can't...
If I bring my husband or a kid it's always more. I try to stay under 100 dollars, but lately I've been feeding everybody! rose
we have 4 men here 2 women are bill is 250 every 2 weeks or more lots of Milk eggs sandwich stuff canned of fresh vegetables and junk lol Kat:)
I am finding that the HEALTHIER I try to eat, the HIGHER my grocery bill is. WTF? It's all the fresh fruit and veggies and the chicken and fish. And DOPUBLE DINNERS!!!!!
My hubby and kids HATE fish....and are getting quite TIRED of chicken. SOOOO most nights, I make TWO DINNERS. I hate that! It sucks. Not because I like sloppy Joes, or hot dogs or the other shit they eat, but because I am seriously making TWO SEPERATE DINNERS. And thinking about it, it's NOT very thrifty, even if it IS mac and cheese, ramen noodles, hot dogs, hamburgers, sloppy joes, and crap. I still have to have my FISH and CHICKEN and FRESH VEGGIES and FRESH FRUIT that they also eat...but still.
I spend $250.00 a week for our family of five. That includes all the toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, and other NON HUMAN FOOD items like cat and dog food, cat litter...you get the pic.
DA-HAM..reading what others are spending...it sounds like I am spending a LOT...but maybe that's because I live in CALI where milk is $4.00 a friggen gallon??? LOL.

Jen
We spend $75-$100 depending on what's in the sale ad.
Love ya!

I'm guessing I probably spend about $200-$250 a week for a family of 5...and that is the NON food items too...
And I think canned veggies are TOTALLY GROSS (except for corn) but that is just me!
((hugs))

Geez - looks like eveywhere has the same problem - families that eat too much...lol.. In Oz my grocery bill is usually about $200-$250 a week, which includes fresh fruit, veggies, toiletries, pet food etc. But still you run out of stuff and make a run to the shops and there goes another $50 bucks!!!! Its madness! And I gotta say - I hate canned veggies too -except for corn!
Have a good weekend!
Hugs
